The Atlantic City Police Foundation is holding its Annual Atlantic City Hero Luncheon supporting the Atlantic City Police Foundation at Council Oak Steak & Seafood at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 12:00 p.m.

This year’s luncheon will honor three Atlantic City Police Department officers and three AtlantiCare trauma surgeons and others on the trauma team whose courage, quick action and skill were instrumental in saving lives during a June 2026 shooting.

The Foundation will recognize ACPD Detective Marquez Jones and Sgt. Christian Ivanov, who were wounded by gunfire while serving a search warrant in Atlantic City on June 2, 2026. The Foundation will also honor Officer Robert Reynolds, who stopped the assailant. The three officers will be recognized alongside AtlantiCare trauma surgeons Dr. Kelly Willman, Dr. Stephen Dudick and Dr. Robyn Guinto, and others on the trauma team, who will receive the Foundation’s Hero Award in recognition of their extraordinary medical care and lifesaving efforts.

The June 2 incident began when ACPD officers, including members of the ACPD’s SWAT team, were executing a search warrant. An individual inside the residence opened fire as officers entered, striking two officers. Officer Reynolds, who was not injured, stopped the assailant. The wounded officers were transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center for emergency treatment.
