Matt Rogers
Detective
Atlantic City Police Department

Detective Matt Rogers has proudly served in law enforcement for over two decades. He began his career in 2003 as a SLEO Class II officer in Wildwood, New Jersey, and was hired full-time by the Atlantic City Police Department in 2007, where he continues to serve with dedication and distinction.

Throughout his career, Detective Rogers has been deeply involved in law enforcement advocacy and community service. He served as President of Atlantic City PBA Local 24 from 2016 to 2020 and has been a New Jersey State PBA Delegate since 2020. In 2024, he was elected to the NJ State PBA Executive Board, continuing his commitment to representing and supporting fellow officers.

Detective Rogers is also a proud member of the NJ State PBA Special Services Unit, which provides support at funerals for fallen officers across the country — from Colorado and Mississippi to Florida and the Northeast — by offering relief trailers and assistance to grieving departments and families.

Beyond his police work, he serves on the Board of the Atlantic City Police Federal Credit Union, is a member of the Margate Republican Club, and is a committed supporter of animal welfare organizations, including Marty's Place Senior Dog Sanctuary. He is also an active parishioner at Holy Trinity Parish of Down Beach.
