Bridget Pierce is a retired Deputy Chief of the Atlantic City Police Department and a current board member of the Atlantic City Police Foundation. A lifelong Atlantic City resident, Pierce began her distinguished law enforcement career in 1996. Over the next two decades, she steadily rose through the ranks, earning recognition for her leadership, professionalism, and commitment to public safety.

Throughout her career, Pierce held key leadership roles, including commanding the Emergency Response Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team. In these capacities, she was responsible for managing high-pressure, complex operations that required strategic decision-making and calm, decisive leadership. Her service in these specialized areas underscored her ability to navigate critical incidents while prioritizing the safety of both officers and the community.

In August 2020, Pierce made history when she was promoted to Deputy Chief, becoming the first woman to ever hold that rank in the history of the Atlantic City Police Department. Her groundbreaking promotion was a milestone not only for the department but also for women in law enforcement across New Jersey.

In March 2023, she was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the New Jersey Women in Law Enforcement (NJWLE), recognizing her outstanding career accomplishments, mentorship, and contributions to the advancement of women in policing.

In 2025, Pierce was selected to serve as the Grand Marshal of the Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a recognition of her achievements, leadership, and commitment to the Atlantic City community.

Today, Pierce continues her commitment to public service as a member of the Board of the Atlantic City Police Foundation, where she helps support initiatives that strengthen the relationship between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
